Finance Associate - for four years trainee program

Finance trainee program
As a finance assistant, you will be part of our finance trainee program, where you will learn the basics of accounting and business controlling within a finance department. You will also study Graduate Diploma (HD) within Financial & Management Accounting in the evenings at Copenhagen Business School (CBS). This is a 4-year program, where you will gain valuable knowledge and skills for your future career.

You will work closely with your colleagues in finance and across Nordic especially with our team in business development and laboratory department. You will be involved in various tasks as part of your training, such as:
⦁    Operationel management of customers contracts, invoicing, and payments.
⦁    Vendors approval flow and payments.
⦁    Inventory financial management.
⦁    General finance, Tax & VAT challenges.
⦁    IFRS controlling.
⦁    General business controlling.

You will also learn how to use different software tools, such as:

  • Micorosft Business Central 365, which is a finance system, covering finance, logistics, inventory, expenses. 
  • Microsoft Office 365, which includes Excel, Powerpoint, and Word.
  • Microsoft PowerBi, which is a business intelligence tool, we use to combine data from BC365, Zoho (CRM sales software), LIMS (Laboratory software), and other data. We also use PowerBi to analyze and visualize data for better insights and decisions in the finance department and the other departments.

Interest in Finance
To be eligible for this position, you need to have:
⦁    Motivation and enthusiasm for learning and developing yourself within finance. 
⦁    1-2 years of experience within a finance function or related e.g. at student job is an advantage.

Finance at Nordic Bioscience
We have three main responsibilities: 
⦁    Prepare periodic reports and annual reports.
⦁    Provide financial insights to the CFO and the rest of the organization.
⦁    Ad-hoc tasks in collaboration with the CFO regarding investor relations, etc. 

In Finance we are becoming of group of five working closely together. We have a flat structure, and everyone helps each other. We work across areas of responsibility and bring our different skills into play. Additionally, we are in the same department as Legal and IT, which fall under the CFO.
