We are building a Global Supply Chain and Strategy organization and are looking for a Head of Global Planning to join the team. As our Head of Global Planning, you will establish the global planning organization and move from site-focused planning towards end-to-end product planning from incoming materials through manufacturing (internal and external) to point of sale.
The role will lead the transformation towards integrated business planning across supply, finance, and commercial ensuring the development of integrated and digital planning. The role will report to the VP, Head of Global Supply Chain and Strategy, and will be part of the Global Supply Chain and Strategy Leadership Team. The position can be in Denmark, Germany, or Switzerland.
Responsibilities
- Lead planning transformation from asset/manufacturing site-focused planning towards product end-to-end planning, starting with foundational capability building across processes, systems & people
- Implement integrated business planning across supply, finance, and commercial to move from sequential planning towards integrated and digital planning
- Led planning and budgeting process for the full BN product portfolio (incl. clinical) in collaboration with Finance and Commercial. Ensure optimized and realistic product supply plans are in place
- Accountable for bridging plans across planning horizons. Leverage the long-range forecast to drive robust planning in the 24 – 36-month horizon for internal and external manufacturing
- Global ERP process owner for planning and responsible for planning master and transactional data
- Ensure that scenarios, customer impact (including financials), and robust data and analytics are used to drive faster and more informed decision-making
- Set up and lead the global and local planning and capacity assumptions review processes to ensure plans are based on demonstrated performance managed through appropriate governances
- Ensure that supply risks/issues are identified proactively and driven to resolution via S&OP processes
- Drive translation of strategic programs into product plans network & sourcing changes, new product introductions, life cycle mgt, pack changes, discontinuations/divestments, and SKU rationalization
- Collaborate with regional supply chains to ensure planning processes consider the differentiated service needs of the customers (regions ensure operational management and execution)
- Ensure adherence to the following KPIs: inventory min/max targets, inventory stock turns, planning stability, and lead times
Skills and Requirements

- Proven Experience in Planning Transformation: Expertise in leading large-scale planning transformations and demonstrated ability in running the business while driving change is highly desirable
- Strong Leadership and Team-Building Abilities: Exceptional leadership skills to attract, develop, and retain top talent, fostering a high-performing and cohesive team
- Excellent Problem-Solving and Communication Skills: Ability to navigate complex challenges, devise effective solutions, and articulate strategies clearly to stakeholders at all levels
- High Resilience and Energy: Strong personal resilience and the ability to inspire and energize the organization through dynamic and challenging initiatives
- Industry Experience: Background in vaccines, and biological/pharmaceutical manufacturing is desirable, providing valuable insights into the unique demands of the sector
