Commercial Business Developer

As a Commercial Business Developer, you will navigate the complexities of the renewable energy market and drive the growth and optimization of wind, solar, flexibility, and PtX within Energi Danmark.  

This role involves exploring new value streams, monitoring market developments, negotiating terms and contracts, and supporting the sales organization in customer and developer meetings.

THE DEPARTMENT 

By joining Business Development in Energi Danmark, you become part of a team that thrives in the complexity of the energy market. Our department is known for providing support to the Group in the Nordic region, specializing in asset-backed trading (B2B). Our primary focus areas encompass Wind, Solar, PtX, BESS, Flexibility, and Ancillary Services.  

The Business Development team is responsible for developing the Group's new asset handling system (VPP). We also participate in meetings as the Group's tech specialists, assisting with special cases and problem-solving initiatives. You will be working with a team of dedicated specialists who share the common goal of delivering superior energy solutions and achieving remarkable success in the renewable energy market.

YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Explore and develop new value streams by evaluating and bringing in new markets or products 
  • Monitor the existing and surrounding market development 
  • Negotiate terms, contracts, and agreements with potential development partners (PPA/BA) 
  • Support and represent the Energi Danmark Group in meetings, negotiations, customer meetings and conferences 
  • Help optimize our customers' business in the Nordics 
  • Understand the different markets from long-term financial PPA’s to especially physical balancing including TSO products

Location: Business Development is based in Aarhus, however Energi Danmark can offer you the possibility of working partly remotely or from one of the group’s other offices in the Nordics (including Søborg near Copenhagen in Denmark).

You should expect to travel to Aarhus regularly if you are based in one of the other offices in the Nordics.
