The Job
As a Managing Director at DEIF India, you will be entrusted with the overall management and development of DEIF’s subsidiary in India (with 6 direct reports and an organisation consisting of app. 25 people). Your primary objective will be to define and execute plans aligned with the global and regional strategy. You will be expected to build and lead a strong management team, ensuring the subsidiary's operations are efficient, compliant, and geared towards long-term success.

Your responsibilities will include leading and developing sales managers, technical managers, and key employees, while also guiding the subsidiary’s growth and ensuring the development of current and future capabilities” explains Ajay Nair, Regional Manager, IMEAA.

Your tasks will be to:

• Coach and develop managers within the subsidiary.
• Evaluate the performance of managers in their roles as people leaders.
• Develop the organization, including pipelines for critical positions.
• Identify and develop needed capabilities within the subsidiary.
• Define clear goals and key performance indicators (KPIs) and follow up regularly.
• Develop and execute agreed-upon plans and deliverables.
• Represent DEIF and enhance the company’s brand among stakeholders.
• Manage and improve key interfaces and processes between departments and across global/regional functions.
• Allocate and prioritize resources for key tasks and projects.
• Drive cross-organizational, strategic, and global projects ensuring solution alignment.
• Build and maintain strong relationships across the group.
• Keep the Regional Manager informed about the strengths, weaknesses, and risks within the subsidiary and management team.

You will report directly to the Regional Manager of India, Middle East, and Anglo-Africa.

What you’ll bring

• 5-8 years of relevant experience, preferably in a similar managerial position.
• Experience in managing sales teams and subsidiary functions.
• Professional knowledge within areas such as sales and technical expertise is advantageous.
• Proven experience in change management and processes.
• Excellent proficiency in English.
