We are looking for a Physical Trader for our physical operation in London with activities across all the United Kingdom. As our new Physical Bunker Trader, you will join a team of professionals who share industry expertise and a passion for physical fuel trading and supply logistics.
You will play a major part in supporting the foundation within a fully integrated marine fuels supply system across all the United Kingdom. Responsibilities:

Together with our team in London, you will among other tasks be responsible for purchase, sale and supply of fuel and lube oil, within the shipping industry. You will be able to assist in building your own client portfolio as there is strong focus in initiating contact with new clients and to establish good and strong relationships, as well as the nurturing and expansion of existing customers.

As part of the daily job, you will also work closely with traders across the world and in particular across northern Europe ensuring a full service to our customers. The cooperation across northern Europe is facilitated from our office in Aalborg.

Furthermore, you will have the following areas of responsibility:

  • Negotiate prices and deliver services based on agreed terms.
  • Purchase, sale and supply of fuel and lube oil.
  • Be a part of growing the new fuels portfolio.
  • Together with the team operate & manage the physical supply & logistics.
  • Identify business opportunities and support business development activities.
  • Understand customer requirements, provide guidance, and close deals.

Our team in London and the rest of the Bunker One physical operation are extremely focused on optimization and utilization of our brand – a journey you will play an important part in.


Developing the European market via knowledge, drive, and team effort

With reference to the Head of Bunkering in UK, you will be a key player to the physical operation. Identifying new markets/niche opportunities in the market for physical supplies from the London office. While supplying the physical barrels onboard our own barges, you will simultaneously have the responsibility of focussing on the physical supply segment of our business across the United Kingdom.

Other preferred skills that we will look for:

  • Min. 2+ years in similar role with relevant experience in marine fuels or shipping.
  • Proven track record in establishing and developing successful long-term business partnerships.
  • Highly motivated, resourceful, and self-driven.
  • Quick-thinking, with strong business acumen, negotiation, and numerical skills.
  • Motivated by a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Enjoy customer service as well as working with people from different cultures.
