The IT University of Copenhagen, Department of Digital Design invites highly motivated individuals to apply for several Full Professor positions starting in December 2024 or soon thereafter.

The candidate We look to hire candidates holding a PhD in areas related to or relevant for research and teaching in Design Research, Human Centred Data Science and Public Digitalisation & Digital Welfare.

The ideal applicant takes a combined theoretical and applied approach. Experience with interdisciplinary work is expected.
Job description The professors are expected to contribute to research and education, including PhD supervision, to develop strategy, and mentor junior faculty and postdocs in the applied-for area. Moreover, the professors are expected to attract external research funding and to build external collaboration in joint research projects also with partners outside of academia. In addition, candidates for the position should be able to read/speak a Scandinavian language (or have the willingness to learn Danish).

About the Digital Design Department Digital Design is organized in three sections; Design Research, Play, Culture and AI, and Digital Societies and Participation. The sections serve as the organizational framework for the department's research which is further divided into several research groups, labs, and a research center. We offer a BSc and MSc in Digital Design and Interactive Technologies and a MSc in Games. Our research and teaching approaches are based on diversity, inclusiveness interdisciplinarity and collaboration.

Salary and terms of employment Appointment and salary will be in accordance with the Ministry of Taxation’s agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations (AC) and job structure for academic staff at Universities.
