Are you driven by developing competitive assortments, building strong supplier partnerships, and supporting success in tender-driven markets? Do you thrive when you can take ownership, show initiative, and turn commercial opportunities into results?
If so, you might be our new Product Manager we are looking for at ABENA!
We are looking for a Product Manager with a commercially driven and hands-on approach to category management. You will take ownership of a broad Medical Supplies portfolio, this includes being responsible for ensuring that our assortment remains competitive, relevant, and commercially attractive across private and public markets. You will become responsible for sourcing, supplier development, assortment optimization, price benchmarking, commercial negotiations, and supporting our competitiveness in tender-driven markets.
You also understand that successful categories are not built in isolation. Working closely with the team, Sales, Quality, Supply Chain, and our subsidiaries, you actively align stakeholders, strengthen supplier relationships, support commercial activities, and help ensure our assortment continues to perform in both customer- and tender-driven markets.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Own and develop your product portfolio from product demand and validation to launch, optimization and phase-out.
- Support tenders and framework agreements by providing product, pricing and market input to strengthen our competitiveness.
- Develop competitive products, pricing and sales concepts based on market trends, competitor insights, customer needs and profitability.
- Work closely with Sales
and Marketing to turn customer insights into relevant products and support launches across markets.
- Work with Procurement and suppliers to ensure competitive costs, product compliance, feasibility and reliable supply.
What we hope you bring:
Most importantly, we value a candidate who brings commercial judgement and an ownership mindset to independently lead and develop a product area. You have proven experience within purchasing, sourcing, category management, or product management, combined with the ability to drive commercial decisions, navigate complexity, and deliver results through strong stakeholder and supplier collaboration.
To succeed in the role, we imagine that you:
- Strong commercial understanding and experience developing and optimizing product assortments based on customer needs, market insights, pricing and profitability.
- Experience with public tenders, framework agreements or tender processes is an advantage, but not a requirement.
- A structured, independent and collaborative approach, with the ability to take ownership of your product area and work effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Strong relationship-building skills and a proactive mindset.
- Professional proficiency in English is required; Danish is an advantage.
