Kyocera Unimerco Tooling, Inc. manufactures, distributes, and services tools for machining, primarily for the metal, automotive, aerospace, and fluid power industries. We are a leading manufacturer of both solid carbide and PCD tipped cutting tools. Due to high order demand, we currently have one open position for Tooling & Grinding Technician at our Saline, MI production facility.

General Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and solutions-driven Tool Technician with strong technical skills, independence, and the ability to work effectively in small teams. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, a commitment to quality, and a willingness to learn. The Tool Technician plays a key part in ensuring precision, consistency, and high performance in tool production and maintenance. Thorough training will be provided to ensure success in this position. Work processes and products are shared throughout in an innovative and open-minded environment without physical separation between office, production, and warehouse facilities. Responsibilities include:

· Perform OD grinding of pcd tools with precision and adherence to specifications.

· Collaborate within autonomous work teams to manage order flow, quality control, and process optimization.

· Inspect both personal work and co-workers’ work to verify accuracy, quality, and compliance with standards.

· Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace to enable fast and efficient setups.

· Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork.

· Adapt to three-shift operations as needed, including varying schedules or rotation.

Desired profile:

• CNC grinding machines knowledge
• Experience with cutter grinder, tool and die, or similar

Must be legally eligible to work in the Unites States.
