Test engineer (Senior)- Scoutz

At Scoutz, we are looking for a Senior Tester who will play a central role in quality assurance across our solutions within the credit domain – an area characterized by high complexity, numerous integrations, and strict requirements for stability, security, and correctness.

Here, testing is not a final phase, but a strategic discipline that helps us stay one step ahead and deliver thoroughly tested, reliable solutions to our customers.

About the role

As a Senior Tester, you will be a key player in our credit initiatives, where solutions often span multiple systems, teams, and vendors.
The role requires strong end‑to‑end thinking and an understanding of how changes in one area impact the overall process.

You will work hands‑on with testing and quality, taking clear senior responsibility and demonstrating strong overview. You look beyond the sprint, beyond the individual team – and actively contribute to ensuring that solutions are coherent and robust from start to finish.

Your primary responsibilities

  • Take professional ownership of quality and testing in complex credit solutions
  • Plan, design, and execute tests – both manual and automated
  • Create and maintain test cases, test scenarios, and test strategies
  • Ensure test coverage of both functional and non‑functional requirements
  • Identify risks early and contribute to solutions before issues reach production
  • Work closely with developers, Product Owners, and Business Analysts on quality and defect handling
  • Provide a clear, consolidated overview of test status for reporting purposes and to support teams
  • Ensure compliance with QA requirements and standards
  • Share knowledge and act as a professional sparring partner for other QA Engineers

To succeed you will have:

  • Solid experience in testing and quality assurance within complex system landscapes, with the ability to work comfortably on solutions involving many integrations and dependencies.
  • Hands-on experience working in agile development teams (Scrum/Kanban), including test strategies, defect management, reporting, and quality assurance across teams and releases.
  • A strong technical understanding of modern development and operations environments, with confidence working in setups involving CI/CD, automation, integrations, and monitoring.
  • Ideally, experience or an understanding of several of the following tools and technologies (or similar):Test and QA tools such as Jira/Xray and JQL
    - Databases and testing of data and integrations (SQL and Postman)
    - CI/CD, build pipelines, and code quality tools (e.g. Jenkins and SonarQube)
    - Containers and platforms (e.g. Docker and Kubernetes)
    - Logging and observability (e.g. Elastic dashboards)
    - Event‑driven and integration‑based architectures (e.g. Kafka)
  • A proactive and responsible mindset, taking ownership of driving testing and quality forward. You thrive on picking up tasks and needs as they arise and actively contribute to creating overview and momentum even in complex environments
  • To communicate clearly and professionally in English, both written and spoken, and collaborate effectively with developers, business stakeholders, and other key partners.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with testing SaaS platforms – for example Salesforce – and related integrations is considered an advantage.
