Customer Support Agent

Customer Support Agent – for students or candidates taking a sabbatical year

Are you good at explaining technical solutions in a simple way? Do you enjoy helping different types of people – and would you like to build valuable experience in customer service and IT?

Then you might be our new Customer Support Agent.

At BEC, you will help customers use digital solutions that are an important part of Denmark’s financial infrastructure. You do not need to know everything from day one. We will make sure you receive the training and support you need to become confident in supporting customers with online and mobile banking.

Your role

As a Customer Support Agent, you will be part of our Customer Service team and work closely with colleagues across BEC.

A typical workday will include:

  • Supporting customers by phone and email

  • Handling more than 60 customer enquiries during a busy day

  • Guiding customers in the use of online and mobile banking

  • Troubleshooting and explaining technical solutions in a clear and helpful way

  • Sharing knowledge and contributing to a supportive team environment

The pace can be high, so it is important that you can stay focused, keep an overview and provide a good customer experience – also when several customers need your help.

Who are you?

You may be studying or taking a sabbatical year. Your educational background is less important than your motivation, curiosity and willingness to learn.

We imagine that you:

  • Have a basic understanding of IT systems and apps

  • Are curious about technology and enjoy learning new things

  • Communicate fluently in Danish, both written and spoken

  • Can communicate in English with colleagues across BEC

  • Are patient and able to explain technical topics in an easy-to-understand way

  • Take responsibility for your tasks and follow them through

  • Enjoy working as part of a team and sharing knowledge with others

  • Can stay positive and professional in a busy environment

Experience from customer service, support or a similar role is an advantage, but it is not a requirement.

Working hours and location

The position is based at BEC’s office at Havsteensvej 4 in Roskilde.

Most shifts are scheduled during daytime hours on weekdays. However, occasional evening and weekend shifts may occur, so some flexibility is important.

The number of working hours will be agreed individually and will depend on whether you are studying or taking a sabbatical year. This allows us to find a setup that works for both you and the team.

The role is primarily office-based, with the possibility of working from home in accordance with BEC’s current guidelines.

What you can expect from us

You will join a team of helpful and ambitious colleagues who enjoy technology, solving problems and supporting each other.

We offer:

  • Thorough onboarding and training

  • Hands-on experience with customer service and IT support

  • A collaborative and informal work environment

  • The opportunity to develop your communication and technical skills

  • A flexible setup that can be adapted to your studies or sabbatical year

Ready to join us?

Send us your application and CV in Danish or English as soon as possible.

If you have questions about the position, you are welcome to contact Manager Nadeem Nielsen at +45 42 12 40 10.

We look forward to hearing from you.

BEC is in the process of being acquired by our largest customer and co-owner, Nykredit, which is Denmark's largest mortgage provider and third-largest bank. We will become part of a new and larger organization called Nykredit Financial Technologies. In the transition phase, we are recruiting for roles that we expect to be highly needed in our future organization.
