Data technical leader - Nykredit- Data Platform

 For this role, we are looking for someone to join Nykredit – a leader in Mortgage loans and other financial services in Denmark, one of the banks BEC Poland works closely with.

 Nykredit is both a bank and a mortgage provider owned by an association of customers. Being customer-owned, they are in a unique position to give something back to their customers when they are doing well. Together they can simply do more for their customers and for the society.

 This position is based at our friendly office in Warsaw and you will join our Data Platform Team. We are looking for a new Technical Owner for the platform, who will be tasked with driving further evolution of the Data Platform. The team consists of data and platform engineers, and owns development of various platform components which enable accelerated development of Data Warehousing and other Data Solutions at Nykredit. 

 You will be based in Warsaw and be part of the Nykredit team. All teams are organized as agile teams with product owners and are running scrum. 

 At Nykredit, we prefer to collaborate often in the office, but we also keep the opportunity to work remotely up to eight days per month.


 Primary task and responsibilities include:

  • Overall ownership of the strategic data platform initiative on the technical level
  • Coordination of platform development, configuration and maintenance activities
  • Design and implementation of cloud-based data platform leveraging various Azure environment components (VMs, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake, etc.) 
  • Design and implementation of appropriate processes and procedures around the cloud platform enabling operationally stable platform 
  • Design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines and usage guidelines (Azure DevOps) 
  • Implementation of test automation processes in collaboration with QA subject matter experts
  • Implementation of GDPR related features enabling development of compliant solutions
  • Partnering with a number of internal and external stakeholders including Architects, Product Owners, Program Manager and Business stakeholders


To succeed you will have: 

  • An educational background (university degree) related to the position advertised (Computer Science/Mathematics/Physics) 
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Leading Data platform developer or Technical Owner of Microsoft Azure based Data Platform
  • At least 8 years of experience working with data warehousing platforms and solutions
  • Experience in data modeling and in batch and event data processing
  • Experience in leading development using agile development methodologies
