Full-stack software engineer (Nykredit)

We are searching for a Full-stack engineer!

For this role, we are looking for someone to join Nykredit – one of the banks BEC Poland works closely with.

Are you a full-stack developer who is passionate about developing robust server-side applications and RESTful APIs using Java, while also having experience in developing cutting-edge React, CSS, and HTML on the front end? Do you have a thorough understanding of Domain-Driven Design principles and how to apply them to accurately model and integrate complex business domains into software solutions? Are you knowledgeable about performance and security considerations related to web and microservices in the context of banking applications, and experienced in API design?

If the answer is yes, then we want you to join our team! We are seeking a full-stack developer who is committed to maintaining high coding standards, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve security concerns, and adapting to evolving technology trends.

This position is based at our friendly office in Warsaw and you will join our JEDI Team. In this role, you will be working on a 70/30 ratio between frontend and backend development, developing and maintaining robust server-side applications and RESTful APIs using Java, while also developing React, CSS, and HTML on the front end. You will also be responsible for applying Domain-Driven Design principles to accurately model and integrate complex business domains into our software solutions, and being mindful of performance and security considerations related to web and microservices in the context of banking applications.

At Nykredit, we prefer to collaborate often in the office, but we also keep the opportunity to work remotely up to eight days per month.

Primary task and responsibilities include:

• Developing React, CSS, and HTML on the front end (70% of work)
• Developing and maintaining robust server-side applications and RESTful APIs using Java (30% of work)
• Applying Domain-Driven Design principles to accurately model and integrate complex business domains into our software solutions
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve security concerns, maintain high coding standards, and adapt to evolving

To succeed you will have:    

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Demonstrated expertise in Java programming and REST API development, with experience in Spring, Java Enterprise, or Microprofile (at least 5 years)
• Experience with unit testing, Hibernate, and SOAP.
• Strong experience with React, HTML, and CSS
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
• A team-oriented mindset and a strong value for collaboration
