Senior date engineer - Nykredit

We are searching for a Senior data engineer

For this role, we are looking for someone to join Nykredit – one of the banks BEC Poland works closely with.

Nykredit is both a bank and a mortgage provider owned by an association of customers. Being customer-owned, they are in a unique position to give something back to their customers when they are doing well. Together they can simply do more for their customers and for society.

This position is based at our friendly office in Warsaw and you will join our Temptations Team. The team consists of data engineers, data analysts and architect, and builds DWH solutions in the area of mortgages and property valuations.  In the future those solutions will be migrated from Oracle and Informatica Power Center to a hybrid MS Azure and Ab Initio components-based platform.

At Nykredit, we prefer to collaborate often in the office, but we also keep the opportunity to work remotely up to eight days per month.

Primary task and responsibilities include:

• Participating in DWH projects as an ETL Developer/ Data Engineer
• Designing and implementing ETL processes
• Optimizing loading data to DWH
• Daily maintenance
• Other tasks connected with the role

To succeed:

• You will have an educational background (university degree) related to the position advertised (ComputerTechnology/Mathematics/Physics/Finance/Banking)
• You are an experienced data engineer with five or more years of experience in creating BI solutions
• You have extensive experience with ETL tools (for example, Informatica PowerCenter or Ab Initio)
• You have experience in MS Azure technologies (ADF, Synapse)
• You have worked with Data Vault concept (nice to have)
• You are structured and understand the need to document our deliveries
• You have analytical mind, are able to see the big picture without overlooking important details
• You are proactive, self-driven and result-orientated.
• You can communicate and work across borders.
• You have excellent English skills - both written and spoken.
