Cobol software engineer (lead) - Custody

We are searching for a Lead Software Engineer (Mainframe) who would also act as Team Architect.

The Custody is a part of the Wealth Management and Trading Domain, and we develop services like Custody, Aktiesparekonto, ESG (sustainable key figures on investments), Pool, Tax reporting etc. As a Lead Software Engineer, you will play a key role in building our Business Solutions and you will be a part of a dynamic team of Business Analysts and Software Developers based in Poland and Denmark. Your direct manager will be Søren Mortensen

Primary task and responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring the right architectural focus from detailed solutions to overall architectural roadmaps for the systems – in close cooperation with the Domain Architect.
  • Be able to design the architecture of a solution and drive the development.
  • Write well designed, testable, efficient code to support varied and complex IT solutions, that fulfil the requirements of our customer.
  • Being an active team member and taking responsibility for developing and implementing IT solutions as well as new technologies.
  • Participating in scrum events, where you share experiences, new ideas and create an environment that fosters professional and personal growth.
  • Preparing technical and procedural documentation associated with IT development.
  • Collaborating with the product owner and other teams to ensure the best possible solutions for incoming business requirements.

To succeed you will have: 

  • Experienced with Cobol, CICI, DB2, JCL, SQL and IDz/RDz, but also experience working with a decentralized tech stack.
  • Experienced working with architecture ensuring solutions with high robustness, flexibility etc.
  • A curious mind with an open nature and desire to knowledge-share with others.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken).
