Executive Advisor

WE ARE SEARCHING FOR AN EXECUTIVE ADVISOR

We are looking for you to expertly support the executive board, particularly the CTO, Jesper Andersen, who is responsible for the platform engineering, operations, and architecture divisions along with BEC’s technology transformation program. You will assist in leading his areas and driving their efforts.

The executive advisor position is a unique opportunity that provides deep insights into how a company is driven on a transformational and strategic level and a solid foundation for a further rise in your career.

The position is based at our headquarters in Roskilde, and you will join the Executive Secretariat, consisting of two executive advisors besides you, two executive secretaries, and the secretariat head. You will be part of a team covering support and management coordination for the executive board and the heads of some larger divisions.

We go far to assist each other’s areas of responsibility, ensuring the best service to the organization, the board of directors, and our owners. You will often work independently with the CTO and other executives but always ensure coordination and sparring in our team. Together, we work hard, but always with room to have a good time.

Your primary task and responsibilities include:

Your primary area of responsibility will be management support for the CTO:

  • Assist the CTO with management meetings, including agendas, implementation, and follow-up.
  • Support the CTO in propelling good quality materials that the CTO must prepare for executive board meetings and board of directors meetings.
  • Help the CTO drive the execution of transformational activities in cooperation with BEC’s corporate strategy function.
  • Coordinate with managers and employees in the various functions to ensure progress on material preparation, timely deliveries, quality assurance etc., before CTO sign-off.
  • Producing decision-making drafts and clear-cut presentations for the CTO.
  • Follow-up on implementing decisions related to the CTO's responsibilities and areas.

In addition to providing direct support for the CTO, you will, in coordination with the other executive advisors, assist the executive board (the CEO, the deputy CEO, and the CTO), making them well-prepared by planning, coordinating, and executing other management meetings, and preparing memos and presentations.

You will also participate with others in the team in the planning, execution, and follow-up (minute-taking and action planning) of the weekly executive board meetings and the monthly senior leadership team meetings.

To succeed, you will have: 

As an executive advisor, we expect you to have a general commercial understanding and educational background. Experience with a similar position in the financial sector is preferred.

Apart from a personal drive and a great attitude, you will join us with a particular set of skills, including:

  • Extensive project management and coordination skills
  • Builds close collaboration with BEC’s division heads, area directors and managers
  • Ability to engage in both strategic and operational dialogues
  • Being structured, detailed and independent working
  • Execution-oriented and able to get the job done right
  • Great PowerPoint skills where you can convert and present complexity in a simple and easy-understandable way
  • Strong writing skills in Danish and English (grammatically profound, target-oriented, and clear)
  • Excellent at structuring and formulating management memos
  • Thriving in a highly priority-changing environment

With colleagues in Denmark and Poland, you must master English and Danish with high proficiency orally and in writing.
