Development Lead for Personal Banking & Partner Governance

We are searching for a Development Lead for Personal Banking & Partner Governance

For this role, we are looking for someone to join Nykredit – one of the banks BEC Poland works closely with.

As a Development Lead at Personal Banking & Partner Governance, you will work closely together with the business and will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and operation of all the team's solutions, data, and platforms. The essence lies in developing solutions to meet the business's needs and harnessing the power of technology to enable Nykredit's ambitions. You will be responsible for providing IT solutions that support Nykredit's personal banking strategy. This involves both in-house IT solutions and third-party vendor solutions. Additionally, this area manages core banking responsibilities delivered by BEC to ensure a reliable and seamless customer experience.

In this role, you will lead two teams with 12 employees in total and report to Development Manager Morten Bundgaard Selmer. The teams consist of both Polish and Danish developers and business analysts and you will guide these teams to deliver IT and core banking solutions that align with Nykredit's personal banking objectives.

Primary task and responsibilities include:

  • Build a high-performing team that can efficiently deliver on the team's backlog,
  • Take responsibility for the well-being and effectiveness of the team,
  • Ensure quality and compliance with common standards and regulatory requirements,
  • Ensure that development adheres to architectural principles and guidelines,
  • Be a competent technical sparring partner for the Product Owner and other business stakeholders,
  • Be responsible for ongoing recruitment and performance follow-up,
  • Manage relationships with third-party vendors to ensure seamless integration of their solutions with in-house IT systems and align their services with Personal banking strategy,
  • Play a key role in negotiating contracts and ensuring that service-level agreements are adhered to, while also driving favorable outcomes,
  • Ensure that all third-party solutions meet internal security policies, regulatory requirements, and architectural guidelines,
  • Promote innovation through collaboration by identifying opportunities for integrating partner and vendor solutions that align with technological ambitions.

To succeed you will have:    

  • Educational background as computer scientist, engineer or similar on bachelor or master level,
  • 4-8 years of IT experience and 3+ years of IT leadership experience (line management),
  • Experience working in multicultural teams and Organizations,
  • Experience managing third-party vendors,
  • Good understanding of complexity of IT industry,
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication and negotiation skills,
  • Fluent English, enabling you to communicate with different business stakeholders at all levels of organization.
