We are searching for a C# software engineer (junior)

For this role, we are looking for a skilled colleague to join us Nykredit Wealth Technology – Nykredit is one of the banks BEC Poland works closely with.

This position is based at our friendly office in Warsaw and you will join our Wealth Technology department where we are organized in cross-functional teams consisting of software engineers, data engineers, vendor system specialists and product owners. In this position you will get to work on our newest tech stack in Wealth Technology, where we are on a cloud journey based on Azure.

The C# software engineer role (junior) offers an opportunity to get in grasp with cloud development, software systems developed from scratch (greenfield), systems with real-time load and high requirements to scalability. The team consists of 6 mature senior engineers who are ready to share their knowledge.

In Nykredit, we prefer to collaborate often in the office, but we also keep the opportunity to work remotely up to 8 days per month. Your direct manager will be Miguel Luis Martinez Picazo.

Primary task and responsibilities include:

• Mainly C# development and maintenance over back-end and desktop applications. Oracle database SQL queries creation and analysis.
• Working with back-end event-streaming and data batch-processing systems with severe performance and fault-tolerance requirements in the Market Data domain
• All the tasks part of developing, testing, and maintaining software including rotating on-duty activity (we build it, and we run it)
• You are going to work close to a team of 6 competent senior software engineers who all will guide and help you in building the best solutions
• On some occasions you will be required to travel to the main office in Copenhagen, as well as you can expect to get a visit from your colleagues from Copenhagen at the office in Warsaw

To succeed you will have:    

• 1-2 years of production experience with C# and .NET
• Knowledge and experience of SQL
• Knowledge and experience of unit testing practices
• Understanding of SOLID principles, common code design patterns and algorithms
• A curious mind with an open nature and desire to learn from others and contribute into team’s success
• A willingness to grow as an engineer, not just a developer
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)

It’s nice-to-have:

• Web/desktop/event-driven software systems development experience
• Experience in working with teams on other locations (the closer to Danish culture the better)
• Knowledge and experience of REST, Azure, microservices, Entity framework
• Experience with CI/CD, automated tests
