Development Manager- Credit Risk

We are searching for a Development manager

BEC is looking for a Development Manager to join our Credit Risk domain, based at our friendly Warsaw office. The Credit Risk domain plays a critical role in ensuring financial stability by managing credit surveillance, customer assessments, and regulatory reporting—providing essential risk management capabilities to banks.

As the Development Manager, you will take ownership of the Axiom platform, leading a skilled team of experts and collaborating with multiple stakeholders across BEC. Your responsibilities will include maintaining and advancing the platform’s roadmap, integrating new regulatory reporting requirements, ensuring operational stability, and managing budgets and licensing. To excel in this role, you should be equally confident discussing vendor and business strategies, IT infrastructure, and financial forecasting.

As the Development Manager, you will:

  • Develop and execute the platform’s roadmap, focusing on stability, resilience, data interfaces, and regulatory functionalities.
  • Ensure delivery of the team backlog, balancing strategic priorities with day-to-day operational needs.
  • Address delivery risks by identifying, mitigating, or escalating as needed.
  • Drive continuous improvement in processes, collaboration, and technical quality.
  • Build and lead high-performing teams, fostering professional growth through coaching, training, and mentoring.
  • Define team missions, align recruitment and skill development to the roadmap, and ensure frequent performance reviews.
  • Promote a culture of cross-functional collaboration and shared accountability.
  • Maintain ownership of all systems, data, and platforms within your area, ensuring operational stability and scalability.
  • Oversee lifecycle management, compliance, audits, patches, and technical vulnerabilities.
  • Manage incidents and problems effectively while ensuring alignment with architectural principles and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with vendors, architecture teams, and other domains to ensure transparency on progress, decisions, and dependencies.
  • Translate the platform strategy into actionable deliverables while managing budgets, licensing, and vendor relationships.

We are looking for candidates who bring the following:

  • A broad understanding of IT development and service maintenance from both technological and process perspectives.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills in English.
  • A curious and open mindset, with a focus on knowledge sharing and collaboration.
  • Proven experience managing external vendors and aligning their contributions with organizational objectives.

It’s nice-to-have:

  • Experience with party solutions such as Axiom, Calypso, or Murex.
  • Familiarity with reporting solutions within the banking sector.
  • Expertise in managing large volumes of data.
