IT-Contract Manager

We are searching for two IT Contract Managers to our Procurement team. You will be key in our efforts to manage risk and regulatory requirements in relation to 3rd party suppliers and conducting renegotiations.

BEC is transforming into a leading fintech integrator for Danish banks by strengthening our product offering and transforming the technology estate.

A central part of this journey is BEC’s tech transformation where contracts with 3rd party IT suppliers will be a natural and continuous part of the operating model.

To support BEC’s strategic aspirations, the Procurement team is in the process of ramping up with two IT Contract Managers to create a best-in-class process for conducting renegotiations and managing the legal and sector requirements being posed on the financial sector.

As a Contract Manager, you will be responsible for conducting renegotiations, securing the compliance and reporting agenda linked specifically to NIS2 and DORA regulation. You will also support our procurement partners in larger procurement projects, ensuring the best possible contractual and commercial terms as well as ensuring implementation and ongoing contract management.

Close cooperation and task management with contract owners and supporting colleagues within architecture, IT security, Compliance and Legal will also be part of the job.

If you have an educational background as business lawyer, experience from either the financial sector or an organization purchasing IT – and live and breathe for interaction with suppliers and an equal interest in securing the contractual compliance, this role is for you.

Primary task and responsibilities include:

  • Renegotiation and prolongation of contracts
  • Fulfillment of legal and sector requirements and associated reporting
  • Participation in major procurement projects assuming the role of contractual specialist
  • Resolve disputes concerning rights and obligations and commercial terms in a first line capacity
  • Provide a contractual understanding and commercial perspective to the contract owners
  • Educate internal stakeholders in the contract content relevant to them and establish contract management handbooks

To succeed you will:

  • Demonstrate a good understanding of legal and contractual frameworks, ensuring compliance with internal policies and supporting internal rules, and regulatory requirements while still accounting for commercial aspects of the contract.
  • Have experience with tools for contract management and tracking obligations.
  • Be detail-oriented and have a keen interest in the legal and sector requirement being posed on the financial sector.
  • Have strong coordination and stakeholder management skills, effectively managing relationships between internal teams and suppliers.
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills combined with the ability to manage and communicate effectively in high-pressure situations.
  • Be excellent at cross-organizational collaboration and being able to lead cross-organizational tasks.
  • Be known for your integrity, persistence, and quality-focused approach to tasks.
