This position is based at our friendly office in Roskilde, Denmark and you will join our Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO) team at BEC Financial Technologies, where we oversee, maintain, and manage BEC’s enterprise portfolio and portfolio model, ensuring alignment with BEC's business plan and strategy. As an Enterprise Portfolio Manager, you will assume a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing the portfolio of initiatives and projects (epics) within BEC. 

Your expertise in lean agile portfolio management will be crucial in establishing and optimizing standards and tools for portfolio management. You'll shape the development of the BEC portfolio model and collaborate with teams and management at all levels.

About the EPMO: The EPMO is part of the Customer & Products division at BEC, driving strategic initiatives, optimizing enterprise portfolio management, fostering agile ways of working, and supporting product adoption in BEC member banks to maximize value realization of BEC products.

Work Environment: At BEC, we prefer to collaborate often in the office, but we also keep the opportunity to work remotely up to 8 days per month. Your direct manager will be Bjarne Kildegaard Møller, and you will be part of a team of four passionate enterprise portfolio managers.

Primary task and responsibilities include: 

  • Manage the lifecycle of various epics, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and driving performance improvements across the portfolio.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to plan investments based on strategic importance, value, and resource/capacity availability, and facilitate quarterly portfolio planning for review, prioritization, and adjustment of portfolios.
  • Establish and optimize common standards and tools for portfolio management, ensuring adherence to best practices.
  • Shape the development of the BEC portfolio model, utilizing your experience and insights into effective practices.
  • Monitor and track the progress of investments within the enterprise portfolio, identifying and addressing issues and delivery risks proactively.
  • Provide data-driven reports and analyses that help management make informed decisions at the right time.
  • Collaborate with teams and management at all levels across BEC.

 

To succeed, you will have:   

  • 5+ years experiences in lean agile portfolio management, adept at aligning strategy with execution using lean principles and agile methodologies to optimize portfolio performance 
  • Proved experience in portfolio management from PMO functions or program management 
  • A strategic mindset: Ability to translate BEC's Business Plan and strategic objectives into enterprise portfolio management practices.  
  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate portfolio and financial data, and the ability to communicate findings clearly and concisely. 
  • Proficiency in providing transparent portfolio progress updates to all organizational levels, including senior management, through effective presentations. 
  • Excellent communication skills to convey conclusions in both written memos and management presentations. 
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including senior management 

 

It’s nice-to-have: 

  • Experience in financial industry and/or tech industry. 
  • Familiarity with enterprise portfolio management tools e.g., Jira Align or similar tools. 
  • Familiarity with Jira/Confluence and PowerBI.
