Job Description

 

Thon Hotels is one of the largest hotel chains in Brussels, with more than 1,500 hotel rooms and 46 meeting rooms in five hotels and three apart-hotels. With locations near the airport, in the city centre, on the trendy Avenue Louise and in the EU-district, we offer exquisite restaurants and walking distance to shopping areas, cultural attractions and European city life. We offer effective and modern conference locations, including small meeting rooms and large conference halls. 

 

Thon Hotels has a great opportunity for an Account Manager to join our dynamic and dedicated team.

This role is responsible for the MICE market for all our hotels in Begium and responsible as Account Manager for the Thon Hotel Brussels Airport. He/She reports to the Director of Sales.

 

Responsabilities

 

  • Prospection, “hunting” for business

  • Dedicated account management

  • Organises telemarketing activities and corporate events

  • Participates in road shows, networking events, sales blitzes etc .

  • Sets-up a sales action plan, close follow-up of results

  • Working with weekly,monthly and yearly targets based on the budget and the goals of the group .

  • Report on a regular basis with the concrete return of revenue (by contracts, offers or bookings) . The report will be checked and approved by the Director of Sales.

  • Site Inspections for prospects and existing clients

  • Works closely with General Managers Residences/Hotels and all Sales Executives.

     

    Job Requirements

     

    The ideal candidate will have:

     

  • A minimum 18 months hands on experience in the hospitality sector or equivalent ideally with knowledge of sales

  • Customer focused attitude with ideally proven face-to-face client selling experience.

  • Strong communication skills, solid organizational and telesales skills.

  • Experience of co-ordinating and hosting client site inspections

  • Ability to juggle numerous projects and maintain a strong work ethic.

  • Problem solving skills

  • Sound knowledge of word, excel, powerpoint and other computer programs.

  • Dutch, and or French & English speaking.
