We are currently looking for a MICE Hotel Planner Manager to join our dynamic team here at Thon Hotel Brussels City Centre.

Do
- Lead, Mentor and Manage. You are in charge of the Hotel Planner Team and support your staff to plan, organize and oversee the logistics of MICE events and group reservations, from conception to completion, verification of the invoicing and finishing with a feed-back session.
- Collaborate and negotiate. You are in close contact with clients to understand their specific event requirements, objectives and budgets. You provide expert guidance to create tailored event proposals.
- Develop. You build and maintain strong relationships with clients, provide exceptional customer service and act as their primary point of contact throughout the event planning process or group reservation.
- Partake. You are hands on and also manage your files from start to finish!
- Conduct. You do site visits, inspections and pre-event meetings with clients to ensure all aspects of the event are well-prepared and aligned with client expectations.
- Coordinate and communicate. You are the liaison between the Hotel Planner department and all different departments in the hotel and with our Service & Support to ensure seamless execution of events and a high level of guest satisfaction.
- Stay up-to-date. You follow with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in MICE event planning to provide innovative solutions to clients.
- Lead. You have post-event evaluations and debriefs with clients to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.
As Hotel Planner Manager, you are part of the Duty Management Team & HOD Team and do a few Duty shifts per month.

- Experience in MICE event planning and management. Essential to have a least 3 years of experience in this field; preferable in the hospitality industry.

- Customer oriented. You have a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences as making people happy is your priority.
- Communication. You love being in contact both with clients and colleagues in English and French; you can express yourself effortlessly in these 2 languages, both spoken and written. Any other language is a plus.
- Flexible. No 9-5 mentality. If/when necessary, you are willing to work irregular hours, including weekends and evenings depending of the event schedules.
- Accurate. You have a detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Pro-activity & problem-solver. You can see where issues could arise and take the necessary steps to avoid these. When problems arise, you handle these in an efficient and look for solutions.
- Knowledge of software and tools. Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint do not have any secrets for you. Knowledge of Opera Cloud, Superoffice, PMI, Basware Alusta, ProTeam, Mpleo, SharePoint and/of Viva Engage are a plus.
