Hardware System and Test Developer

Jotron is currently undergoing an exciting development within the maritime market. The recent acquisition of SKIPPER Electronics AS, now Jotron SKIPPER AS, a leading supplier of IMO Wheel mark echo sounders and speed logs for navigation, has significantly expanded our range of maritime products. In recent years, we have substantially strengthened our market position and are regarded as a global leader in our maritime product portfolio. We are experiencing increasing demand for our products and are therefore seeking a new colleague for our office in Ryen, Oslo.

We are looking for someone who enjoys working as a part of a team and has interest in design of electronics with some experience of use of typical design tools such as Altium and/or Orcad. To succeed in this role, we believe you must be technically interested and be capable of diagnosing and solving complex issues, often with more than one problem and take full responsibility for tasks or product areas assigned.

Our products feature both embedded software and web-based applications and are used on vessels worldwide. A strong emphasis is placed on security and the ability to perform on site and remote diagnostics. Documentation is becoming increasingly important, so the preparation of defined documentation is expected.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or above, in Electronics or related subject, but relevant proven electronic diagnostic experience will also be considered
  • Minimum three to five years relevant experience
  • English and/or Norwegian language
