Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organized Stock Controller to manage inventory of raw chicken / WIP, packaging materials and ingredients within our facility.
Duties and Responsibilites
- Monitor and maintain adequate levels of WIP, packaging materials, and ingredients to support production schedules.
- Support projects on any material items, Raw chicken / WIP, packaging materials and ingredients PPE, Chemicals. Example – introducing scanners, pick up sample packs, monitor moving from one material type to next etc.
- Receive incoming deliveries of materials, verifying accuracy and quality, GRN stock.
- Safely operate forklift to load and offload trailers, always ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies.
- Organise and optimise warehouse space to ensure efficient storage and accessibility of materials.
- Work as part of a team.
- Collaborate with production / Procurement teams to coordinate material availability and usage.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions using inventory management software.
- Communicate effectively with Drivers / Production / NPD / S&OP / Procurement team’s regarding material orders and deliveries.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures related to inventory management and safety regulations.
Requirements
- Valid forklift license with demonstrated proficiency in safe operation.
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Computer literacy an advantage.
- Physically fit and capable of lifting and moving heavy objects.
- Knowledge of inventory control principles and best practices.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility to work occasional overtime or weekends as needed.
