ServiceNow Team at EG AS provides services to external as well as internal users from different EG business units. As a team, we are particularly responsible for assuring the availability and stability of the ServiceNow platform, developing the platform by adjusting its functionalities to stakeholders' needs, and supporting existing ITSM and CSM-related processes.
Role description
As a ServiceNow Operational Product Owner and member of our team, you will be responsible for the following areas:
Backlog management
- Maintain and prioritize the product backlog
- Ensure clarity and order in tasks, making sure backlog items are well-defined and aligned with the product vision provided by the Product Manager.
Collaboration with technical (development) team
- Write detailed user stories and acceptance criteria
- Work with Product Manager and stakeholders and then with development team to refine requirements as needed
- Serve as the primary liaison between the development team and Product Manager for day-to-day operations
- Ensure the team clearly understands the requirements and priorities and
- Participate in planning meetings to select work items for the development team
- Participate in daily stand-ups to address and resolve any immediate issues that may arise
- Participate in retrospective meetings
Release planning and support
- Plan and coordinate product releases, ensuring alignment with the roadmap and readiness for launch
- Provide ongoing support for the product post-release, including bug fixes and minor enhancements
Feedback Integration and improvement initiatives
- Gather feedback from end-users and stakeholders to refine and improve product features
- Incorporate lessons learned into the product backlog for continuous improvement
Risk & issue management
- Anticipate potential risks or blockers in operational activities and collaborate with the team to develop mitigation strategies
Documentation & communication
- Keep updated documentation related to backlog items, sprint outcomes, and overall product processes
- Ensure transparent and consistent communication with all relevant teams and stakeholders.
Expectations and qualifications:
- Minimum three years' experience in ServiceNow as a product owner, business analyst, technical consultant or solution architect
- Strong experience in cooperation with development team
- Knowledge of ServiceNow platform capabilities, modules and architecture (optional)
- Experience in business analysis, gathering requirements and refining tasks
- Fluent English (written and spoken)
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to take end-user perspective and proactively suggest the best available solution
- General knowledge of ServiceNow integration capabilities and third-party tools (LDAP, SSO) - advantage
