ABENA
Global Product Specialist

Would you like to contribute to the development and QA of one of ABENA's largest product areas? Do you have experience with product legislation (MDR), EN standards, and are you focused on providing the rest of the organization with the product-specific knowledge necessary for us to achieve our goals together?

Incontinence, underpads, and baby diapers together constitute ABENA's largest product category – a category in rapid development. As a Product Specialist, you will have the opportunity to make a difference for our end-users every day. You will have the chance to develop and continuously update the product line, and in collaboration with the team, ensure that the assortment meets the demand within the actual sales markets, so the area grows in accordance with budgets and goals. As an extension, documentation and compliance naturally play a significant role. You will play a crucial role in numerous development projects to ensure that we are always compliant with applicable regulations, legal requirements, and standards within the product area.

You can expect your main tasks to include:

  • Annual audit preparation and implementation
  • Gatekeeper for relevant legislation (development)
  • Daily contact with foreign suppliers
  • Maintenance and updating of documentation covered by the MDR regulation, including, for example, product specifications, certificates, environmental and ethical declarations, supplier declarations, Free Sales Certificates, etc.
  • Updating of item master data, including technical specifications and registrations in relevant systems such as Axapta, SAP, and PIM
  • Handling of complaints from sourced items
  • Application for relevant certificates, verifications, tests, and legalizations for the product areas
  • Input to artwork for packaging, data sheets, and safety data sheets in accordance with legal labeling requirements
  • Handling other tasks that may fall within the product area in collaboration with the team

We would like you to:

  • be able to communicate at all organizational levels in English (German is also an advantage)
  • thrive in an open office environment – where we actively use each other for feedback and sparring
  • approach every task with the intention of treating the recipient (customer, colleague, or partner) with integrity and decency
  • be structured and able to appreciate documentation of work processes.

Furthermore, due to various supplier and customer needs, especially from Asia, there may be occasional requirements for working hours reflecting time zone differences – this naturally entails greater flexibility in the normal working hours.

Join one of ABENA's most important focus areas.

We offer a position where both teamwork and independence are highly valued, and responsibility and attention to detail are appreciated competencies. It is important that we carry out every task with great pride in quality and integrity.

Our everyday life is busy, and deadlines often occur, but we also have an informal atmosphere where there is room for laughter – even on a gray Monday – even though the area is large and the material is complex. You will become part of a dedicated team currently consisting of 5 members, but eventually more, who work ambitiously together to achieve our common goals.

At ABENA, work should be enjoyable, and we emphasize good interdisciplinary collaboration and a good working environment.

We look forward to reading your application.

If you are interested in the position, please send your application and CV as soon as possible – we process applications as we receive them, and we close the search when we have found our new colleague.
