Finance Analyst – Group Financial Planning & Reporting

We are looking for a Finance Analyst to join our diverse finance department which currently consists of around 40 dedicated employees. Your main base will be at our headquarters in Hellerup, where you will join the Group Financial Planning & Reporting team. Our primary goal is to enhance financial transparency, analysis, and guidance for the business. As a small but ambitious team, we have a significant impact and collaborate closely with executives and department heads across Bavarian Nordic.

Ideal qualifications to succeed in the role

The qualifications needed to be a success in this role could include:

  • Holds a master’s degree in finance or economics 
  • 2-5 years of experience with finance exposure from accounting to business consulting or controlling
  • With the right mindset you can also be a recent master graduate within Finance with relevant experience through your studies
  • Experienced user of Microsoft Excel and with a natural flair for IT systems in general
  • PowerBi experience is an advantage but not a requirement

Take charge of the financial steering of a global, growing vaccine company

Our team is overall responsible for ensuring best possible financial steering of our business by thoroughly understanding our performance, and through sound financial foresight. Additionally, we continuously seek improvement opportunities aligned with our overall financial strategy. Some key responsibilities include:

  • Forecasting: Leading the global forecasting processes, which forms the basis for our external guidance and internal financial steering
  • Internal Financial Reporting: Managing the monthly Financial Group reporting, the primary means of performance communication to Executive Management and the Board of Directors
  • Financial systems: Ownership and continuous development of our reporting tools, as well as our financial planning tool, to fit changing business needs
  • Performance Management: Fostering a stronger performance culture by developing relevant business KPIs, enhancing financial transparency and optimizing and streamlining tool utilization
  • Ad hoc assignments: Providing analysis and financial insight to support business & management decisions. This could be in relation to potential M&A cases or new funding considerations, which have been highly relevant in recent years

You will work closely with finance stakeholders at all levels of the organization daily, while also collaborating directly with the line of business on an ad hoc basis.
