Generic job description

To initiate, and ensure the achievement of, development/pre-engineering (appraise, concept select and concept define), engineering and construction (including SIMOPS operations), to achieve an effective and efficient construction, installation, hook-up, and precom / commissioning of oil and gas production facilities in line with Neptune Energy’s objectives and rules.  
Manage all Project responsibilities (CAPEX, ABEX and OPEX for the Dutch Location).

 

Main duties & responsibilities

  • Overall accountable for all projects successful delivery in Neptune Energy Netherlands, CAPEX (Brownfield/Greenfield, Operated/OBO), ABEX, 3. Party business) in HSEQ, Schedule, Delivery.

  • Promote and develop HSEQ Culture within Engineering & Projects Community.

  • Promote Career Development for the Engineering & Projects Community within its perimeter and detect and promote talents for the wider organization.

  • Accountable for governance & assurance and Risks.

  • Promote Lessons Learned and develop Engineering & Projects Organizational Process Assets to capitalize Neptune Energy knowledge.

  • Promote Engineering & Projects Contractors & Main Vendors Neptune Energy Netherlands Strategical Positioning. 

  • Promote Engineering & Projects Process, Tools and Methodology enhancement.

  • Ensure that Engineering & Projects is compliant with Neptune Energy Netherlands Business Continuity Process.

     

Internal and external interfaces

  • There is a strong requirement to work cross functionally and promote interface management with all areas in particular: HSEQ, Assets, Technical, Procurement, Legal, HR, IT, Communications, Finance, Partners (through Assets).

  • External : Authorities, partners/operators.

Context and environment

The position is located in NL.
Extensive travel must be expected to other onshore/offshore geographical entities within Neptune Energy.

 

Required qualifications and experience

  • MSc. in petroleum, offshore technology or relevant engineering.

  • Executive Management training (or education).

  • Min. 15 years of experience with projects in the upstream oil and gas industry, min. 10 years of experience in an E&P company.

  • Project Management Institute Certification (PMI)  is a plus.

  • Experience of development and execution in major projects in an E&P company.

  • Excellent knowledge of rules and regulations of the UKCS, NCS and NLCS.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with a variety of stakeholders.

  • Strong HSE leadership skills.

  • Fluent in English.
