BI and Integration Team Lead

The BI and Integration Team Lead is responsible for building BI and integration capability to support the needs of the business.

Main duties & responsibilities

Strategic

• Develop and prepare strategies for Business Intelligence and integration processes for the organization.
• Put in place fit for purpose devops and agile methodologies and framework to ensure efficient delivery in Neptune Energy.
• Support the development of Neptune’s data architecture.

Transformation

• Support the development of Neptune Energy's Master data management and drive the implementation of this within the BI and integration domain.
• Develop and transform Neptune’s data warehouse and the associate business analytics.
• Develop capabilities internally and externally on Integration, SAP BI and Power BI

Operations

• Manages and appropriately escalates delivery impediments, risk issues and changes associated to the product development initiatives.
• Coordinate with data generator and ensure compliance to all enterprise data model according to data standards.
• Assigns and monitors work of technical personnel, ensuring that development and deployment is done in the best possible way, implements quality control and reviews systems throughout the development and deployment processes.
• Works within IT, cross-functionally and with vendors in order to successfully identify, prioritize and resolve issues and provide subject matter expertise for enhancements, developments, and operational improvements to services.

Internal and external interfaces

The BI and Integration Team Lead will interact with relevant departments at all levels.

Context and environment

Neptune Energy is one of Europe’s largest independent exploration and production companies with operations in the North Sea, mainland Europe, North Africa and the Asia Pacific region.

Travels must be expected to other geographical entities within Neptune Energy.

Required qualifications and experience

• Management experience of a BI capability
• Experience with BI analytics tools on SAP and Microsoft SQL/Azure
• Experience with creating Data marts and data warehousing
• Experience in managing a complex integration service bus like Biztalk.
• Requires relevant higher university degree
• Oil & gas experience is preferred
• In special cases, relevant experience can compensate for lack of formal education
• The job requires high level of expertise and a thorough understanding of how BI can add business value for the business functions.
• Ability to maintain a strong connection between a function and the business environment
• Flexible approach in achieving the ‘right’ balance between global frameworks and specific local business needs
• Requires highly developed communication skills to present complicated issues in an understandable way, and to influence others to ensure compliance
• Fluent in the English language, both spoken and written.
