CBRE Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) in Denmark is on the look out for a new Commercial Director with a focus on contracts and negotiations

Are you ready to lead a team of dynamic Legal Managers where you have the possibility to improve our business further through optimal contracts for both CBRE and our customers? Join CBRE Global Workplace Solutions as our new Commercial Director in Copenhagen reporting to the Managing Director and functional line to Global Head of Commercial.

As our Commercial Director, you'll be the go-to person for commercial and legal matters. Your mission? To guide, influence, and advise our key stakeholders on commercial best practices, all aimed at fueling the long-term growth and profitability of our business regions. You'll work closely with the Business Unit Directors and Business Development Managers providing invaluable insights to minimize risks, boost profits, and prevent potential disputes that could impact our business.

Your Key Responsibilities

In your role as Commercial Director, you will be at the forefront of counseling your colleagues and helping them executing optimal negotiations and contracts with our customers. Your expertise will not only support the sales process through innovative solution development and participation in key presentations, but also elevate the profile of our commercial activities both internally and externally. This involves fostering strong relationships through merchantship with clients and supply partners, to secure optimal contracts that benefits all parties. Your assignment will include:

  • Team management – develop the commercial team to meet organizational demands.
  • Agree client facing contracts and be involved in pursuits, solutioning, expansions, re-tenders and retention strategies.
  • Leading the commercial negotiations by adopting and agree the best negotiation strategy with internal stakeholders including internal or external legal support.   
  • Ensure all commercial deals comply with the GWS Global Risk Policy and any other company policy.
  • Promote compliance with the GWS Global Risk Policy and procedures including Regional and Global Pricing Committee reviews, Commercial governance and approvals and Project Procedures.  
  • Develop the organizations commercial awareness through meetings, presentations, training courses and advice. Moreover, advise the business on specific contractual obligations.
  • Provide commercial guidance at pursuit stage through the contract lifecycle and demobilization.
  • Provide commercial solutions to operational challenges to reduce risks and maximizing opportunities.  
  • Promote best commercial practice in the appointment of suppliers / subcontractors.
  • Support Sourcing/Supply Chain Solutions with the timely and contractually robust order / sub-contract placement.

 

One of your key responsibilities will include navigating CBRE's matrix organizational structure effectively. This requires leveraging your adeptness in creating collaboration across different business units and geographies, aligning commercial initiatives.

 

What are we looking for?

You are expected to have extensive experience from a commercial role within hard services, facilities management, construction, or critical environments, coupled with a proven track record in negotiating strong contracts with costumers.

Your exceptional communication and negotiation skills will enable you to influence stakeholders at all levels, promoting sustainability, and risk mitigation measures in all client interactions. Fluency in both English and Danish is essential, facilitating seamless communication and maximizing the impact of your leadership within a diverse cultural environment.

We are looking for a strong Manager with Management expricence in a global organization. Your background is probably commercial but with a great interest and understanding of the legal parts of contracts, where are the risks and how to handle them.
