As our new Software Developer - Wind Data Algorithms, you will be part of our Embedded Software team within our digital department and work closely together with our Electronics, Optics, and Sensor Technology specialists. We strive together to deliver innovative sensing solutions to improve the efficiency of wind turbines all over the world. This team has an inspiring atmosphere with great opportunities to develop your personal and technical skills.
You will be part of our multi-sited research and development department with more than 60 colleagues who are engineers and technicians. You will be situated in an environment with other developers where you will have plenty of opportunity to share knowledge with your 20 colleagues in Electronics and Embedded Software and bring your ideas and solutions into new and existing products.

Your mission as a Software Developer will be to develop concepts and algorithms with input from the business area for all our sensing products and solutions. By developing systems that feed real-time data to the wind turbine controllers, your contributions will directly help make wind energy more efficient and affordable.
Furthermore, you will be part of:
- Identifying and evaluating new concepts and algorithms.
- Designing and implementing concepts and technical solutions addressing market challenges.
- Improving and simplifying existing algorithms and applications like autonomous bending moment calibration and autonomous ice detection fingerprinting.
- Contributing with improvements to our codebase and testing infrastructure.
What do you need to succeed?
You are a structured person with a focus on configurable, efficient, and maintainable solutions where a broad-based, inquisitive team in a global context matches your best work environment. You want to work passionately with us on delivering Wind for life.
Moreover, you should
- Have a Physics degree, Wind Energy Master, or similar education.
- Be comfortable with C/C++ and Python/MATLAB.
- Speak English fluently, since you will be part of a global organization.
Furthermore, it will be an advantage if you have
- Experience within wind energy.
- Worked with sensor data and continuous integration and delivery.
- Knowledge on blade load, bending moment and yaw misalignment.
