About the Position
At Polytech, you will join an experienced Embedded Software Team of six dedicated professionals. As a senior engineer, you will play a pivotal role in defining technology roadmaps, shaping software architectures, and delivering high-quality solutions that meet the needs of tomorrow’s wind energy sector. You will act as both a software specialist and a proactive, hands-on contributor, supporting our development journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • A team player taking ownership and together with your colleagues in the Embedded Software Team setting strategic technical direction, sharing ownership and fostering a culture of mutual support and learning.
  • Define and support the development of our software architecture, ensuring cross-disciplinary alignment and robustness.
  • Lead continuous improvements in our codebase, championing best practices in integration, deployment, simplification, and optimization.
  • Gather, align, and clearly document technical requirements, translating needs into scalable solutions.
  • Ensure all software deliveries meet current Cyber Security standards and best practices.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Extensive technical expertise enabling you to facilitate high-level, professional discussions within the team as well as across departments.
  • Structured, solution-oriented work approach, with a strong focus on execution and innovation.
  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering or related field, with 5–10+ years’ experience in embedded software development.
  • Experience in the wind energy sector is a plus, but not a requirement.
  • Proficiency with Atlassian tools (Confluence, JIRA) and version control systems (Git)
  • Advanced skills in C and C++, with a commitment to delivering robust, maintainable, and efficient code
  • Track record of driving and delivering results on complex R&D software projects
  • Experience with Yocto, Zephyr, Rust, or Python is desirable.
