About the position:
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing global category strategies in close collaboration with stakeholders across the business.
Reporting to our Head of Global Procurement, you will play a key role in managing and executing strategic procurement activities driving cost-down initiatives for our main products. Your efforts will directly support our goals of optimizing total cost, ensuring supply continuity, fostering innovation, and driving sustainable procurement practices.
Key responsibilities and tasks:
- Lead the development and execution of global category strategies based on thorough analysis and deep understanding of business needs and market dynamics.
- Work in close cooperation with key stakeholders across engineering, operations, R&D, quality, and finance to align procurement efforts with overall business objectives.
- Support the transformation towards a category management-oriented procurement culture through knowledge sharing, stakeholder engagement, and best practice implementation.
- Represent Procurement in projects
- Support Sales by providing input on material costs for customer offer business cases
- Drive sourcing processes include supplier selection, commercial negotiations, and contracting in accordance with defined category strategies.
- Conduct spends analysis, supplier performance reviews, and risk assessments to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
- Establish strong supplier relationships that deliver long-term value, sustainability, and performance.
- Monitor and report on category KPIs, e.g. cost savings
Your qualifications and skills:
- Documented experience in leading strategic procurement initiatives in a complex, cross-functional environment.
- Background from a manufacturing environment with direct sourcing of raw materials from global producers
- Experience with procurement tools and ERP systems (e.g., D365, SAP, Ariba).
- Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
- Relevant educational background as Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management or a related field

- Excellent communication and presentation skills (able to influence senior management)
- Analytical, data-driven decision-making and problem-solving mindset
- Results-oriented and commercially focused, with attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Resilience, adaptability and change-management capability
