Flying Tiger Copenhagen is looking for an independent and reliable Store Design Specialist to join our Property & Expansion team as a maternity cover. Maybe it’s you!

The Property & Expansion team consists of highly qualified professionals, from various backgrounds in an informal but professional function. We are part of the Global Sales organisation.

This is the job

As our Store Design Specialist, you will work with design development of new stores, rebuilding’s, and relocations in all our markets. You will interact with markets and suppliers to optimize the store design by creating retail spaces that reflect our brand identity and provide commercial and operational efficiency.  

While using CAD file tools, our process tracking is done via email and excel overviews, but we are on a journey towards more refined processes and systems which can support us. Your role in the transformations process will be vital.

More specifically your responsibilities are to:

• Prepare design briefs  
• Initiate and evaluate design feasibility study
• Coordinate and manage the development of the conceptual design
• Support, assess and approve local technical design including material samples
• Interact with markets and suppliers regarding design opportunities and constrains
• Manage and monitor the store development process from E2E

This is you

We are looking for a committed, structured, and responsible colleague with experience in retail space design and/or store planning. You have proven skills in project management- which is key to ensure a successful process in this role.

Your educational background is not important to us – but your experience in retail space planning is vital.

Moreover, we expect that:

• You have a design/commercial background with minimum 5 years’ experience from the retail industry
• You are proficient at AutoCAD, Revit, or equivalent cad software
• You are skilled in the Microsoft Office package
• You hold a business level proficiency in spoken and written English

As a person, you are enthusiastic, trustworthy, open and find it easy to cooperate with your colleagues. You show passionate drive, and you are not afraid of taking responsibility. Moreover, you are a great communicator with a structured approach to your assignments.

You will report directly to our Head of Store Development.

We are 7 People in the Property & Expansion team, with plenty of international property management, retail, and development experience. We are a new team, and we are inventing tools and processes as a part of our journey. We are entrepreneurs and not afraid to test new ways of working or thinking out of the box. As both our Store Designers are leaving us to take good care of new tigers, we are looking for a colleague to join our team for a period of 9 month with the possibility of lengthening.
