We are seeking our next Solution Architect for Flying Tiger Copenhagen's Architecture & Engineering department. You will work from Flying Tiger Copenhagen’s headquarter in the center of Copenhagen, Strandgade.

About the role

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering solution design for programmes and projects where you ensure quality, appropriate decision making and communication to key stakeholders regarding architectural, engineering, and other relevant matters.

You will report directly to the Principal Architect.

This role will allow you to show your autonomy and project lead experience in the following responsibilities:

• Act as the primary architect on assigned programmes and projects.
• Lead the solution definition of programmes and produce architecture deliverables such as high-level designs, architecture principles, non-functional requirements etc.
• Lead and cultivate architecture and engineering governance in projects, programmes, and reviews to ensure optimal quality of solutions and steer any work towards strategic decisions and business value.
• Drive advisory, concept development, prototyping (tech leapfrogging) and potential PoC before solutions are requested by Tech and business peers.
• Engage actively in Design review meetings, providing valuable feedback to technology peers. Build trust as a domain expert in relevant applications and technologies.
• Contribute to the evolution of our Tech Architecture and Engineering governance ensuring strategic alignment and facilitating transparent decision making.
• Operate as the technical authority in vendor and technology selection processes, ensuring the best-fit solutions for our organization. Contribute to engineering standards, refining and reviewing standards and templates such as design documents and architecture blueprints in an ongoing manner.

About you

To be successful in this role you probably have a degree in computer science, system analysis or a related study or equivalent experience.

You have a good understanding of strategic and emerging technology trends, and the practical application of existing and emerging technologies to new and evolving business and operating models. Furthermore, you have an understanding of agile methods and processes and capability of supporting agile project teams.

• 5+ years of solution architect experience at retailers or working on retail solutions covering one or more of the following areas:
• Product Development and Management – PIM/PLM
• Pricing
• Merchandising
• Supply Chain Planning
• Experience in global and multicultural organizations
• Experience with end-to-end solution design including integration choices.
• Experience with event driven architecture and API first application landscapes.
• Exposure to domain driven design, microservices, cloud architecture as well as modern integration technologies.
