We’re looking for a highly skilled engineer who combines deep hands-on expertise with the ability to design scalable systems, influence technical direction, and mentor others.
About the Role
Your work will directly shape the financial connectivity for thousands of businesses worldwide - building robust integrations and ensuring secure data flow between Business Central and global banks. As a key architectural voice within our backend team, you will collaboratively make technical decisions, mentor colleagues, and set best practices that strengthen our cloud infrastructure.
You’ll collaborate closely with product managers, AL engineers, and domain experts to turn ideas into well-engineered solutions - balancing speed with long-term maintainability, security, and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive architectural direction for backend services on our Continia Banking product.
- Design and build scalable APIs, integrations, and distributed systems using .NET and Azure.
- Develop secure, high-performance, and observable services that scale globally.
- Evaluate and introduce new technologies and patterns that improve system scalability, availability, and security.
- Build and maintain the infrastructure that securely routes high-volume financial data to banks and Payment Service Providers (PSPs).
- Collaborate with engineers across teams to review designs, share knowledge, and maintain technical consistency.
- Act as a mentor, guiding others through design reviews, code feedback, and architectural discussions.
- Contribute to broader engineering initiatives, including CI/CD pipelines, automation, and cloud infrastructure improvements.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong hands-on experience with modern backend technologies (C#/.NET) and cloud platforms (Azure).
- Deep understanding of distributed systems, cloud architecture, and API design.
- Solid database knowledge (SQL Server/Azure SQL) and data modeling skills.
- Experience with event-driven or message-based architectures.
- Strong focus on scalability, performance, and security.
- Experience with ISO 20022 us ab advantage, but not a requirement.
- A pragmatic mindset - able to simplify complex systems and balance delivery with long-term vision.
- Excellent collaboration skills, with a desire to succeed together as a team rather than as a solo architect.
- Passion for craftsmanship and for helping others grow through mentorship and example.
