The Position we offer:


 Become our new Project Portfolio Manager and support the business and IT in making the right IT project prioritization and execution decisions!


Capital Markets IT serves multiple Nordea business units with business technology. We are operating in a rapidly changing business area and are continuously requested to deliver solutions that enable business growth, as well as meeting regulatory requirements and process automation. This triggers a very diverse project portfolio where efficient and effective execution is instrumental to the continued success for the supported Nordea business units.  


The PMO in Capital Markets IT requires the Portfolio Manager to be a part of our core team responsible for driving the portfolio planning and execution, the supporting governance model and the resource allocation process.  


Functional responsibilities of this role may include but are not limited to:  

  • Support the monitoring of a technology project portfolio by keeping an updated view of all the projects that are planned, prioritized and in progress  

  • Create and update project information in our Enterprise Project- and Portfolio Management Tool (Clarity)  

  • Ensure the monthly update of project data that influences portfolio decisions e.g. Financials, Scope, Resources, Gate Passes and the other KPI information related to our governance entities  

  • Analyze the project portfolio and resource planning data to highlight anomalies, trends and opportunities to improve the overall delivery of our portfolio of projects  

  • Assist and co-drive our resource management process, among here the demand intake process, resource prioritization and resource impact analysis  

  • Create and update resource and epic information in our resource management tool (JIRA Portfolio)  

  • Work closely with other PMO’s across Nordea and influence how this discipline is best performed using the right processes and tools  

Provide guidance and education project governance, finance and time registration and resource management to all stakeholders in Capital Markets.  


 The qualifications you need:


 The ideal candidate holds a degree in Business Administration, Technology Management, Project Management or similar discipline, and possesses the following skills and experiences:  

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience use Project- and Portfolio management methods and tools  

  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience using Agile Development methods and tools  

  • Technical, analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving abilities  

  • Strong quality control discipline, with exceptional attention to detail  

  • Excellent and pro-active verbal and written communication skills  

  • Positive, flexible and self-motivated attitude  

  • Knowledge about the financial sector and investment banking will be an added benefit  

  • Ability to create, edit and deliver documents and presentations (Excel, PPT and Word). Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel is a plus
