A fantastic opportunity exists for the right person to join our Project Implementation and Operational Excellence Team on a permanent basis. The Operational Projects Assistant will learn the existing procedures, expand their knowledge of the role but also be given exposure to the wider business.

Due to the fast-paced nature of the business, the Operational Projects Assistant will be an extremely varied role and requires a practical hands-on field work approach.
Key Areas:
- Delivery on a wide range of projects that contribute to the site’s operations
- Support the departments’ workload and deputise when required
- Drive continuous improvement in all activities
Responsibilitie:
- Work cross functionally with both OPEX and Implementation Mangers on a range of project work initiatives, maintaining project momentum and deputising when required
- Pursue a programme of projects that follow a methodical and recognised approach
- Contribute to the departments’ administration, data collecting, recording and report generation
- Follow up on audits of previous project work done to evaluate the effectiveness of the project
- Lead the process of any change; ensuring all key stakeholders are well informed and satisfied
Skills/Knowledge Required:
- Clear and confident communication both verbally and written, across all levels on site
- A self-starter can approach duties at pace whilst maintaining a clear process and plot all actions
- Can keep momentum on multiple activities and prioritise accordingly
- Gather, record, and communicate accurate information. Ability to format and analyse data
- Possesses a working understanding of Microsoft Office, particularly Teams, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Has a practical understanding of food manufacturing technology and is confident to learn more complexity as role evolves
- The candidate can demonstrate an understanding of FMCG business and how activities can affect profitability
- Previous Project Management experience of a similar nature, or a theoretical education ranging from Master/Bachelor level to Apprenticeships and Certificates in relevant areas, for example Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering or Food Science
- A recognised qualification in Project Management (Yellow Belt) would be beneficial but not essential
- Exposure to and understanding of FMCG environment is desirable
Working Hours:
- 40 hours per week, working Monday to Friday but we will accommodate some flexibility, to reflect the 24/7 nature of the business
- Some travel will be required but this will be seldom. This role will be a mixture of factory and office work, but most of the action happens inside the factory
