We are currently recruiting candidates for upcoming Temporary Hatchery Technician positions at our Freshwater facility in Northampton, NB. These temporary positions are expected to be approximately four weeks in length, with an anticipated start date of mid to late October 2026.
In these part-time roles, you will work Wednesday to Friday to support our spawning season and assist with hatchery operations. Duties may include feeding, grading, counting or measuring fish, mortality removal, site security, routine maintenance, clean-up, daily checks, and reporting.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Related post-secondary education and/or experience within the industry is considered an asset
- Well-developed English verbal and written communication skills
- Physical ability to complete repetitive tasks
- Respect for the need for safe working practices
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work safely and effectively indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Flexible approach to work and ability to meet the demands of the role
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada immediately
WHAT WE OFFER
- Hourly wage of $18.00–$21.00, depending on experience
- Overtime paid after 44 hours per week
