Your specialist knowledge brings the team to the next level

As our new Power and Gas Trade Operation Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in our trading team, sharing your expert knowledge of the financial instruments of Power and Gas, its market operation and trading flow paired with your technical knowledge of relevant tools and platforms will make grounds for a more efficient and effective execution of power and gas trades. You have the ability to identify and manage potential risks and analyse and improve operational processes. Besides being able to analyse trade data and generate insightful reports, your other focus areas will be on supporting our power and gas teams, settlement of positions and reconciliation of cash flow, close dialogue with TSO´s, Grids and other authorities and educating and developing other BO members.

Other key tasks:

  • Develop and improve BO functions and tools
  • Overview of guarantees and limits with external trading partners.
  • Support of other Back Office related tasks.

A detail oriented, analytical, and service-minded specialist

The ideal candidate brings minimum 1 years of experience within handling power and gas trades, potentially coming from a similar position within another Power & Gas trading house. The position could be based in Aarhus, Copenhagen or Middelfart but will preferably be in Middelfart. You will be reporting to the Head of Back Office, Lars R. Helmer and will be joining 6 experienced locally anchored colleagues in developing and improving the BO functions. As a person you are positive, engaging and possess excellent stakeholder management skills. You would thrive in being the link between trading and Back Office and are able to combine the two worlds. With your problem-solving, customer-service orientation and commercial mindset, you are able to adapt and cope with changing environments and working effectively without always having the full picture.

Furthermore, you:  

  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Danish
  • Are independent with the ability to take charge of own tasks and complete tasks within deadlines
  • We use Previse as the trading platform, which will be an advantage if you know the system.
