You ensure smooth tanker operations by coordinating vessel schedules, secure efficiency, and stakeholder interactions

As our Tanker Operator, you operate assigned vessels within our tanker fleet. You are the link between all stakeholders involved in our business ensuring smooth operations as well as maintaining and improving the operational results safely and efficiently.

Task and responsibilities:

  • Ensure compliance with agreed charter party terms.
  • Communicate with charterers, brokers, agents, partners, and vessels regarding planning, voyage orders, and vessel itineraries.
  • Ensure that the operational systems, processes, files, procedures, and policies are maintained and up to date.
  • Monitor vessel movements, and voyage performances and constantly look to optimize where possible.
  • Provide and uphold a high level of service to all stakeholders.
  • Review vessel stowage and tank cleaning plans.
  • Handling invoicing, demurrage, claims and collection of freight.
  • Participate in business development.

Other responsibilities will include liaising with internal and external contacts, scheduling of assigned vessels, bunker planning, maintaining and updating operational systems, issuing voyage orders, demurrage calculations, analyzing KPIs, appointing and instructing agents and vessels, and participating in business development.

You will work at our office in Middelfart located at the beautiful harbor front. Here you be part of a collaborative team of seven where you will report directly to General Manager, Operations Peter Søbygge.

International Profile with Experience in the Shipping or Transport Industry and willingness to learn

You might already have experience from a similar position within the shipping or transport industry – But this is not a requirement. Most important is your mindset and willingness to learn and your motivation to achieve results.
