Danelec is in rapid development, and we are currently seeking a talented colleague – a strong sales person, that can see the opportunities in Danelec and the journey we´re on.

In Danelec, you will join a team of 165+ talented and welcoming colleagues, whereof 9 colleagues in our Hamburg office Danelec GmbH, which will be your work location for this position.

Danelec is already working with a selected partner portfolio, shipowners, and ship management companies in Germany.

This have made a good foundation and your role will be to hunt and develop the business pipeline even further, resulting in delivering on our ambitious growth targets.

In this role, you will develop business opportunities and take responsibility for Danelec’s continued revenue growth in Germany, expand our market share, demonstrate cross-selling opportunities, and build solid data-driven funnel management.

ABOUT THE JOB

In details, your main responsibilities will be:

Developing prospecting opportunities for selected hunt list accounts selling Automation and Navigation equipment

Developing and executing growth strategies together with the Sales Director, EUA

Taking ownership and driving the sales activities in a competitive market

Ensure that all prospective and existing clients are visited physically or online

Usage of CRM system to optimize long-term pipeline and deal-making

WHO ARE YOU?

As Danelec’s new Sales & Business Development Manager we expect that you can contribute with the following:

We are looking for a self-driven and result-oriented business development manager, who strives to be in a performance role, coming from the shipping industry, with a well-established network in the German market and perhaps also with experience from other markets which will be received as an additional plus.

You have a comprehensive understanding and experience within maritime channel sales model and are eager to investing in going the extra mile for our valued partners/customers and you have a proven record of building valuable relationships and getting the prospect matured in securing the business opportunity.

You have an in-depth understanding of the constellations between technical managers, shipowners & charterers in shipping.

Having a technical background/understanding or having been exposed to vessel automation and navigation work is a clear advantage.

You are a proactive & dynamic sales professional with a high drive and, a “can-do” attitude who gets energic in social environments and sets ambitious targets to deliver great results. You have great communication skills, structural work approach and high data discipline using our unique sales system tools.

Fluency in written and spoken German & English is required.
