You might be our new Head of International Project Finance & Compliance. 

Red Barnet is looking for a new Head of International Project Finance & Compliance, to continue the important journey of leading the International Project Finance & Compliance Team, while building the right conditions and framework for high standards in financial management and in line with accounting and donor compliance in our international programme department and the rest of Red Barnet. 

WHO WE ARE

Our Business Support and Development department has over the past two years implementied several new systems, amongst others a new ERP system. We begin to see the end of the tunnel and we are on a great path re-inventing our ways of working and strengthening the collaboration and connection to the international programme department and the rest of the organization. International Project Finance is building on this landscape to ensure a continued focus on efficient processes, teamwork and engagement. The key mandate of the International Project Finance & Compliance (IPFC) team is to work closely with the International Department to support the delivery of our diverse portfolio of international programmes. As quality advisors, and financial experts IPFC supports the international programme department in all financial aspects throughout the project cycle.

The team consists of 9 people, which includes controllers and student assistants, of various nationalities, background and portfolios and therefore diverse leadership skills is a requirement.

YOU WILL BE

  • Leading, motivating and developing the employees in the section and ensure that the section develops in line with the organization's needs and with sustained high professionalism within the section
  • Working closely with the International Department management team, to support the successful implementation of our international awards, through our global implementing entity Save the Children International
  • Developing strategies for the section's area, in collaboration with the CFO and team  Optimizing and digitalizing processes to be fit for the future
  • Ensuring financial donor compliance for the full life cycle of all international projects, including those implemented by the MHPSS Collaborative, an initative hosted by Red Barnet
  • Pushing prioritisation, development and optimisation of processes in IPFC
  • Being informed about and on top of incoming fraud cases and providing support from the financial aspects if necessary
  • Focal point for EU and other donor related organizational audits

PROFESSIONAL & PERSONAL COMPETENCIES

  • You have years of experience in leadership and developing people in medium sized and multi-bilingual teams
  • You have solid strategic, tactical and operational experience in all key management tasks (Master’s in economics/Finance or similar)
  • You have several years of financial project management experience, preferably combined with field experience in an international organization.
  • You have at least 5 years’ experience with running projects in a cross-organizational context.

Additionally, you:

  • Have strong communicative skills, also in the close dialogue with colleagues and peers, and a healthy approach to collaboration and internal customers.
  • Are accommodating and outreaching, enterprising, and thrives on working independently, as well as working in cross-cutting teams.
  • Have ability to maintain an overview, create structure in everyday life and ensure results, even in pressured periods and when performing suddenly arising tasks.
  • Speak and write fluent English.
  • Have knowledge of SharePoint, Excel, Microsoft office and PowerBI.

TERMS & RECRUITMENT PROCES

You will be employed according to the terms of individual leader contract Agreement between Save the Children DEnmark and the AC organizations and HK. You will work 37 hours per week without overtime payment.
